    A: Our services are available to individuals and families in Lane County experiencing urgent, unmet needs. Each request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure we provide the right support for those most in need.

    Q: Do I need to belong to a church to receive assistance?
    A: No, our programs are open to anyone in need, regardless of their faith or religious background.


    Furniture and Household Items

    Q: What kind of furniture and household items do you provide?
    A: We provide essential items such as beds, mattresses, sofas, dining tables, kitchenware, linens, towels, and small appliances to families in need.

    Q: Is there a limit to how often I can receive furniture or household item assistance?
    A: Yes, due to limited resources, there is a three-year gap between receiving furniture or household item assistance. This policy helps us reach as many families as possible.

    Q: Do you offer delivery for furniture?
    A: We do offer delivery for furniture on a case-by-case basis, depending on volunteer availability and the recipient’s location.


    Transportation Services

    Q: What transportation services do you provide?
    A: We primarily offer transportation to medical appointments and procedures for individuals who do not have access to reliable transportation. We also support veterans and the elderly with other critical transportation needs.

    Q: How do I request transportation assistance?
    A: You can call our Clearinghouse at (541) 653-8537 to inquire about transportation availability. Please provide at least 2 weeks’ notice for scheduling.


    Financial Literacy and Career Development

    Q: What topics do your Financial Literacy classes cover?
    A: Our classes cover a range of topics, including budgeting, credit management, saving for the future, taxes, and more.

    Q: Are your Career Development workshops open to everyone?
    A: Yes, our workshops are open to anyone looking to improve their career prospects, with a particular focus on teen/young parents, recent high school graduates, and those re-entering the workforce.


    Volunteering and Donations

    Q: How can I get involved as a volunteer?
    A: Visit our Volunteer with Us page to learn about current opportunities and fill out our volunteer interest form. We have roles available in transportation, furniture delivery, event support, and more.

    Q: What kinds of donations do you accept?
    A: We accept monetary donations, gently used furniture, household items, and linens. Please call us to confirm the items we are currently accepting.

    Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?
    A: Yes, Love for Lane County is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible, and we will provide an acknowledgment letter for your records.
